Camp Kesem GW is a free one-week summer camp for the children of cancer patients. Serving children ages 6-18 from the Maryland, Virginia, and D.C. areas, Camp Kesem GW is the only D.C. area-chapter of a registered 501(c)3 nationwide nonprofit and is organized and staffed entirely by college students at the George Washington University. Due to the financial burden cancer places, camp is completely free for all eligible families. We seek to provide children with a refuge from a stressful home environment and give parents a chance to focus on their own health for a week.
